creative intern sky osterley May 2014 - September 2015
Starting my work journey as a Creative Intern for Sky was a great kick start to my career. I decided to apply for the scheme due to my indecisiveness of going to University. This programme allowed me to learn, create and grow.

The 'Sky Academy - Fast Forward Programme' is an opportunity for school leavers to gain work experience.
I rotated around many different departments, most of the time I was doing small projects, for example sorting out files, cleaning video libraries, join team meetings, research etc.
During the last few month of the scheme we had to produce a promotional video to then distribute. We done face to face assemblies with our schools, and chosen ones also. We all wrote a script entailing our job duties, I edited the video, selected the sound track and too part in filming.
When entering Sky's main office clients, future employees, and business partners need to be welcomed to Sky's work place. As an Intern I was given the responsibility to create these videos.
I edited the In-house videos showing the lifestyle of Sky Academy from Sports, Staff and Arts for all too be welcomed with.
Another campaign was with 'Sky Rewards' which highlights the discounts for over 100 brands and shops for Sky workers. During the Autumn Period this video was released, hence the adjustment in title to 'Sky Scary Rewards' referencing Monster Inc.
As an intern I had a lot of free time. A department which I worked 3 month within was Promos due to my line manager being a Senior Promo Producer. I discovered new techniques and tools editing with Avid Media Composer.
The promo during my time at Sky which got aired is the first video below, which captures the 3 most action TV programmes as well as League of their own. This consisted of me watching the footage, logging/ editing the clips, writing scripts, and working with sound design for the final professional polish.
